A DREAM COMES TRUE:
-------------------------------
As a teenager about 50 years ago, I was infatuated with reading books by authors belonging to different countries.
I had my formal education in P.S.High School(Main), Mandaveli.
I studied all the subjects in Tamil medium( English medium was a paid one at that time which my parents could not support due to financial crunch).
In the year 1969, my love for English developed in the first instance and then the love extended other languages like Hindi, Malayalam and Sanskrit.
From the year 1970 to 1974, I had a bad patch, but that did not deter my attitude in learning languages by reading books (through District Library, USIS, British Council, the Russian Consulate of USSR and Eswary Lending Library),visiting Cinema Theatres and listening and singing songs from different languages. I fixed my own target of reading one book a day.
I do not know why, I wanted to have a printing press of my own to publish my own novels at a later stage in life. It was a dream.
The year 1974 brought about a dramatic change in me. I started accumulating knowledge about various subjects. When I took up a subject for study, it would always be total. I did not give it up come what may.
After the exposure to computerisation in the year 1996 and teaching the art of learning computers in my own way, I was prompted by many of my friends who were mainly my students in computer class to make a contribution towards writing.
I selected blog writing some years back and started posting many of my Tamil posts there as well as in my Facebook account.
Two three years of exposure to blog and bloggers, I came to understand that only bloggers can comment or like the posts. It was discouraging.
My visit to Thirvannamalai brought about a further change in me. It was necessitated by the haunting precognition I had about my near and dear. I was totally engrossed in the study of Astrology then (source : Varaha mihirar's Brahath Jathakam and Brahath Josyam). I was concentrating my study of Jathagakam (sixth place and eighth place of LAGNAM and RASI ...decease and death).
I believed that everyone has fear of future as to what may come, grief or happiness. I thought that being forewarned about the decease and death will help everyone to be free from fears. But to my astonishment, I found that precognition are of no use in protecting others. Despite precautions being taken, what has to happen happened without fail. More visits to Thiruvannamalai made me realize that life will be peaceful if unknown is left as unknown as far as humanity is concerned.
There were many instances of facing near deaths in my life, right from the boyhood to manhood. Having looked at the face of death many number of times, It was dawned on me that I should do something to humanity, a contribution however trivial it may be.
"A small drop water may think it too small,
But somewhere along its path a flower awaits its fall"
These couplets changed me to create a page called
Meaningful Life by Raju Varadarajan.
This page is not an autobiography. It will be a collection and reflection of events which brought about a change in perception of this world by actually experimenting and experiencing them.
The events will be written carefully taking into account the privacy, pride and beliefs of all of those connected with me from my boyhood to adulthood (now a senior citizen).
I will not fail to mention about my mentors and their roles, without their help, guidance and support I will be no one.
My sincere acknowledgements :
